    Monet Garden at Argenteuil Scarf

    $ 75.00

    This beautiful scarf presents a detail of Camille Monet in the Garden at Argenteuil, which was painted in 1876 by Claude Monet (French, 1840–1926). Central to the painting's composition is a stand of dazzling hollyhocks, framed by the scarf's design. The artist's Impressionist technique evokes the effect of shimmering light. Monet painted a related group of works in the summer of 1876.

    Mondrian Trafalgar Scarf

    $ 65.00

    Mondrian’s Trafalgar Square (1939-43), part of the collection of The Museum of Modern Art, New York, is instantly recognizable as an icon of neoplasticism, the term he used to describe his abstract paintings that relied on straight lines and primary colors. The fluidity of silk gives a tactile suppleness to the bold geometry inspired by the painting.

    $ 75.00

    This beautiful scarf features an image of The Great Wave at Kanagawa, a polychrome woodblock print by Katsushika Hokusai (Japanese, 1760–1849). The preeminence of the original work, said to have inspired both Debussy's sonata "La Mer" and Rilke's poem "Der Berg," can be attributed to its sheer graphic beauty and to the compelling contrast between the force of the wave and the calm of the mountain.
