This enamel pendant features beautiful Spring blooms, inspired by Vincent van Gogh's (Dutch, 1853-1890) radiant bouquet. This piece is adorned with irises, which the artist famously painted in May of 1890, just before leaving the asylum in Saint-Rémy. Van Gogh's use of vibrant colors, including the delicate "violet" flowers against a "pink background," created a "harmonious and soft" effect. However, over time, the fugitive red pigments have caused the colors to fade. The pendant measures 1 1/4'' in diameter and hangs on a 16'' chain with a 2'' extender. It is finished with a lobster-claw closure and can be easily cleaned with a damp cloth followed by a soft, dry cloth. 18K gold plate adds a touch of luxury to this stunning piece.
