Andy Iventosch has been potting in Tucson, Arizona for thirty five years. After receiving a BFA from Northern Arizona University in 1981 and a MFA from the University of North Texas in 1984, he continues to produce a variety of domestic ware as well as some larger pots. Andy derives a sense of wonder in the natural world and is inspired by a variety of sources. Among his influences is the Mingei movement inspired pottery of Bernard Leach and Shoji Hamada as well as the abstract expressionist ceramics of Peter Voulkos.
